A couple of weekends ago I stumbled into this young fern frond, slowly unfurling in the filtered light of some giant trees.

It reminded me that I had some other fern photos that I would like to retake one day. Ferns were one of the subjects that first got me interested in close up nature photography.

But the images I have from this period are poor quality and too small to print. Maybe this summer might be a good idea to try and have another go at capturing the curly wurly wonders. Here are a few of the images I'm talking about.
