Close your eyes
We're in the middle of our first heat wave for the year, the sky is covered in a grey haze, and the air is still. April and may were unseasonably cool, so this one kind of sneaked up on us.
To better appreciate the season we are in right now,
close your eyes and step forward six months,
this is early December.
Susuki VIII
Everything has shut down for the winter.
The moisture has gone,
the leaves have fallen,
and the hills have turned brown.
The End of Autumn
Dead grass and clouds are all that move.

Now open your eyes,
step outside,
enjoy the green that June brings.
