青森は奥入瀬渓流が有名ですが、ちょっと探検しただけで似たような川と紅葉の場所がたくさんありました。
先月、青森に行ったとき、丸二日間、こういう川と森を撮影しました。
ブナ林は本当に綺麗でした！
Aomori would be a painter's paradise. It is wild, cold and harsh, yet the trees glow with warmth and the ground is a carpet of soft leaves. Add to that ice cold rivers and deep blue lakes. Everywhere you look is a painting.
I spent a lot of time in Aomori exploring the beech forests and photographing the wild rivers. Looking at these photos now, it looks warm because of the golden colours of the beech trees and the soft filtered light. But the day I arrived it snowed and the rivers were ice cold. There is one famous river called Oirase that is featured on nearly every Aomori poster, and it is jam packed with tourist buses. But it only took me a few hours to find other rivers that were just as good if not better. I spent two full days scrambling along river banks in awe at the colours, and I didn't fall in once!
