鳥取で展示会（フォト軸が展示されます！）　AIR29
木曜日から鳥取で始まる展示会で、私の作品が初めて展示されます。
今年の夏、鳥取県の推進するアーティストインレジデンスにお招きいただいたのですが、そこで撮影した美しい田舎の風景のフォト軸を、鳥取県の名産品である因州和紙でプリントし、縦に長いまさに掛け軸のような作品として完成しました。
素晴らしい作品として完成していただき、感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。
この作品が、鳥取市の中電ふれあいギャラリーで９月２２日～２８日（９：３０－１７：３０）に展示されます。
フォト軸とは別に、鳥取で撮った写真１００枚もフォトブックにしました。
こちらもギャラリーでご覧いただくことができます。この期間に鳥取にいらっしゃるかたがいたら、ぜひお越しください。
中電ふれあいギャラリーでの展示の後、鳥取のほかの町でも展示をやります。

展示するフォト軸はまだここではお見せできませんが、因州和紙への印刷の様子はこんな感じです。写真をご覧ください。

Photojiku Exhibition in Tottori　-AIR2016
The first official exhibition of my Tottori artworks opens this Thursday.
I did an ARTIST IN RESIDENCY in Tottori this summer, and you may remember that my goal was to create a set of photojiku (hanging panoramas) on specially produced Japanese Washi paper. Printed in full size, these will be on exhibition at Chuden Fureai gallery, in central Tottori September 22nd -28th. They are printed on washi paper, which is a traditional kind of Japanese paper. The washi for these hanging scrolls was handmade by craftsmen in Tottori especially for this exhibition, so it will be a unique display that involved a lot of different people. All my other photos (over 100) have been printed into a photo book which will also be on display there too, alongside exhibitions of two other photography events that happened in Tottori this summer. Pop along and have a look if you happen to be in Tottori next week :)

After that finishes they will move to a few other towns in Tottori so they can be exhibited at the locations where I took the photos. Early next year they will be exhibited in Tokyo. I will post the details of them when they are decided. I won't post the photojiku images yet as that would spoil the exhibition, but here are a few snapshots of some of them during the printing process.
