Book Cover Final

It's not easy photographing stars in Japan. Humidity, light pollution and smog make the stars a lot harder to see than in New Zealand, but if you have a bit of patience and wait for the right conditions, the night sky is still pretty amazing.
I took this photo a few weeks ago in Kamogawa which is down in the Southern tip of Chiba. It's hard to see, but if you look carefully you can see a red Shinto Torii gate on the rocks. Historically these rocks would have been a place of worship for the local fisherman. I have some other photos of this beautiful little cape which I will be uploading over the next few weeks. Hope you like them.

今日ご紹介する写真は、千葉の鴨川から見た天の川です。
鯛の浦という場所です。
ニュージーと比べて、日本で星空を撮るのは難しいです。なぜなら、光害と湿気とスモッグが多いからです。
でも運がよければ、星空がきれいに見える時もあります。
