今日は七夕ですね。
朝から曇り空で、予報によると残念なことに夜も曇りで星空は見られそうにありません。。。
代わりにニュージーランドの天の川をご覧ください。

It's the 7th of the 7th, so Happy star festival!
July 7th is the tanabata star festival in Japan and several other Asian countries, although I don't think we will be able to see any stars with all the bad weather we are having.
According to Japanese folk legend, tonight is the one night of the year when the two lovers vega and Altair can meet. Tonight is the only time when the two stars are allowed to cross the milky way that separates them.

These days, most people can't see stars anyway because of the city lights. And Tanabata has become more of a festival about writing wishes. 
Today I would like to share a photo of the milky way seen from an area with low light pollution.
